Full Frame fêtes family films, former fest favorite “51 Birch Street” follows
Posted on April 11, 2012
Tomorrow marks the beginning of this year’s Full Frame Festival, one of our favorite fests, and this year we’re having a nice case of déjà vu, as our “51 Birch Street“, which originally played at the Festival in 2006, is back again. Filmmaker Ross McElwee has curated a program of family-themed films for the festival, and 51 Birch Street is one of his selections. Director Doug Block will be on hand in Durham, NC, where he will also participate in a panel discussion with Ross, Alan Berliner, and Nancy Buirski. Both events take place this coming Saturday, April 14th.
In conjunction with this, WUNC is re-airing an interview Doug did with Dick Gordon in 2007. It’ll air tomorrow, Thursday April 12th, and you can catch it here.
